I’ve got some twenty songs in front of me. Well, music actually. Many have lyrics, but most don’t serve purpose beyond demonstrating the melody. And now comes the hard part.
I’m not even sure how I feel. Just the internal struggle. Pushing. Pulling. Twisting. I sit and listen to the music. I allow myself distraction, wander to the front porch and watch the snow fall. It’s said that each flake is unique, each a universe to explore. But from a distance they all look the same. Maybe if I looked closer. Maybe like you and me. If I knew you, if I had the chance to listen, watch and understand. I’d see you as being unique. Different from anyone else. From the beginning to the end.
Finally the cold pushes me back inside. Some words come, but they are too personal to commit to paper. So I cloak them metaphor.
Hello, Tim. I was going through my shelves of CDs and seeing what I should rip to my PC (it was that kind of a weekend) when I came across World Theatre. I double checked that World Theatre and Flock 14 were related (Yay, internet!) which seemed right. I rediscovered that I really like the song “10 Tears”.
I figured I had missed like 15 years worth of Tim Mcallister releases, so I further searched the net to find this site. I’m downloading Strong Tower as I type, and look forward to hearing it. It seems funny: I have Flock 14 on cassette and vinyl, World Theatre on CD, and now I’m downloading Strong Tower as MP3 files. Your releases have tracked the evolution of recorded music media!
So. Did I miss a MiniDisc at some point?
hey Patrick. hmmm. did you get flock 14 on CD? it came out on all three media types but nothing ever made it to minidisc - lol.
I’ve got new stuff, and will start releasing demos of it in another week or two. right after we get the website transitioned fully over to wordpress.
my best - tim
